Job summary

Genoa Healthcare, part of Optum and UnitedHealth Group, seeks a Per Diem Pharmacist to perform professional duties at the Community Health Center of Stamford. This on-site role supports prescription processing, patient counseling, and immunization administration within a collaborative care team.

Per Diem Pharmacists are temporary employees working intermittently; hours align with the clinic schedule (Mon-Fri 8:00 am - 4:30 pm).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD is required.
• Current pharmacist license in the state of Connecticut.
• Certified immunizer or willingness to become one within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Distributes drugs prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners.
• Provides information to customers about medications and their use.
• Focuses on providing a superior level of customer service.
• Ensures compliance with all relevant laws of the State Board of Pharmacy.
• Administration of immunizations as allowed by State Boards of Pharmacy.
• Any other usual and customary pharmacy duties.
