Job summary

Genoa Healthcare, part of Optum and UnitedHealth Group, seeks a Per Diem Pharmacist to process prescriptions and support behavioral health patients across Brooklyn and Jackson Heights. The role is temporary, intermittent, with on-site coverage across multiple locations.

Primary duties include dispensing prescriptions, advising customers on medications, and ensuring compliance with state regulations. Immunization administration is possible where permitted, with scheduling Monday–Friday,

Qualifications

• Must have NY pharmacist license and PharmD or B.Pharm degree.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Immunizer certification or willingness to obtain within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Distributes drugs prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners.
• Provides information to customers about medications and their use.
• Focuses on providing a superior level of customer service.
• Ensures compliance with all relevant laws of the State Board of Pharmacy.
• Administer immunizations as allowed by State Boards of Pharmacy.
• Performs other usual and customary pharmacy duties.
