Job summary

Genoa Healthcare, part of Optum, is seeking a Per Diem Pharmacist to join the community pharmacy team in Stamford, CT. The role involves dispensing medications, advising customers, and delivering excellent service in a supportive environment.

Candidates must hold a Connecticut pharmacist license and be willing to become a certified immunizer within 3 months of hire. Hours are Mon-Fri, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, with competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD.
• Current pharmacist license in the state of Connecticut.
• Certified immunizer or willing to become one within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Distributes drugs prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners.
• Provides information to customers about medications and their use.
• Focuses on providing a superior level of customer service.
• Ensures compliance with state Board of Pharmacy regulations.
• Administers immunizations where permitted by state law.
• Performs other usual and customary pharmacy duties.
