Job summary

Genoa Healthcare, part of Optum and UnitedHealth Group, seeks a Per Diem Pharmacist to perform professional duties and responsibilities associated with processing prescriptions. Per Diem Pharmacists are temporary employees and work on an intermittent basis.

Primary responsibilities include distributing drugs prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners, providing information to customers about medications, and focusing on a superior level of customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD.
• Active Mississippi pharmacist license.
• Per Diem, intermittent scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Distributes drugs prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners.
• Provides information to customers about medications and their use.
• Focuses on providing a superior level of customer service.
• Ensures compliance with all relevant laws of the applicable State Board of Pharmacy.
• Administration of immunizations as allowed by State Boards of Pharmacy.
• Any other usual and customary pharmacy duties.
