Job summary

Shields MRI in Portsmouth, NH is seeking a Patient Care Representative/Tech Aide on a per diem basis. You will provide exceptional customer service with professionalism, efficiency and accuracy.

You will greet patients, assist with check-in, handle copays, support scheduling, protect patient privacy, coordinate with technologists, and enter information into our systems while staying HIPAA compliant.

This role requires strong communication and the ability to multitask.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• CPR certification required.
• Excellent communication and computer skills required.
• Attention to detail and typing accuracy required.
• Ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision.
• Proven ability to multi task and exceed customer expectations.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, collect copay/deductible/co-ins and explain the consent form.
• Assist patients with iPad check-in process, troubleshoot and provide feedback.
• Recognize and utilize language services when needed.
• Distribute films/CDs while maintaining HIPAA and patient privacy.
• Collaborate with technologists/radiologists to ensure proper patient flow.
• Process outgoing/incoming mail and UPS deliveries.
• Prepare setup for next day’s appointment schedule and communicate issues.
• Maintain confidentiality of all patient groups.
• Verify and enter necessary information into our systems.
• Respond to scheduling emergencies appropriately.
• Support Customer Care with machine utilization by filling templates (waitlist/hold list).
• Address patient and doctor concerns with accuracy and professionalism.
• Keep management informed of impactful situations.
