Shields MRI in Portsmouth, NH is seeking a Patient Care Representative/Tech Aide for a per diem position. You will greet patients, assist with iPad check-in, and ensure accurate data entry while upholding HIPAA and confidentiality.

The role emphasizes professionalism, efficiency and teamwork with technologists and radiologists to maintain smooth patient flow; CPR certification and strong communication are required, with pay of $17-29 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Must be CPR certified.
• Excellent communication skills and computer proficiency required.
• Attention to detail and typing accuracy required.
• Ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision.
• Proven ability to multi-task and exceed customer expectations is required.
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time while data entry and information intake via phone.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and verify coverage while explaining consent forms.
• Assist patients with iPad check-in and troubleshoot as needed.
• Identify language needs and coordinate translation services.
• Distribute films/CDs and maintain HIPAA compliance.
• Support patient flow with technologists and radiologists.
• Handle outgoing and incoming mail and deliveries.
• Prepare next day’s appointment setup and flag issues.
• Maintain confidentiality of all patient groups.
• Enter patient information accurately into systems.
• Respond to scheduling emergencies promptly.
• Assist with machine utilization templates and waitlists.
• Address patient and doctor concerns professionally.
• Inform management of situations affecting operations.
• Stay updated on policy changes affecting daily work.
• Assist in patient interview process and scan room prep.
• Maintain co-pay/petty cash and daily deposits.
• Perform other related duties as required.
