Job summary

Shields Health Solutions in Dartmouth, MA is seeking a Patient Care Representative to deliver exceptional customer service with professionalism, efficiency and accuracy. This per diem role supports Shields MRI and requires greeting patients, collecting payments, assisting with iPad check-in, and ensuring HIPAA compliance.

You will collaborate with technologists and radiologists to maintain patient flow, verify information, respond to scheduling needs, and help onboarding new staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Excellent communication skills and computer proficiency required.
• Attention to detail and typing accuracy required.
• Ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision.
• Proven ability to multi task and exceed customer expectations is required.
• Ability to sit for extended periods while data entry and information intake via phone.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, collect copay and explain forms.
• Assist with iPad check-in, troubleshoot and provide feedback.
• Recognize when language services are needed.
• Distribute films/CDs while upholding HIPAA and privacy policy.
• Collaborate with technologists/radiologists to maintain patient flow.
• Process mail and deliveries; prepare next day’s schedule.
• Maintain confidentiality of all customer groups.
• Verify and enter information into systems.
• Respond to scheduling emergencies appropriately.
• Support Customer Care with machine utilization templates.
• Answer questions with accuracy and professionalism.
• Keep management informed of situations affecting the company or department.
• Stay current on policy/procedure changes.
• Maintain copay/petty cash accuracy and daily deposits.
• Assist with onboarding and training of new employees.
• Performs other duties as required.
• Work to maintain survey return rates; coordinate with multiple departments.
