Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required
• Licenses and Credentials ACLS (AHA) and BLS Certification preferred
• Experience Completion of a Pacemaker Technician training program or equivalent work experience, 1–2 years required

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for pacemaker implantation by explaining the procedure and answering questions
• Assist the physician during the pacemaker implantation procedure
• Program the pacemaker and adjust its settings as needed
• Monitor patients after implantation to ensure device function and absence of complications
• Educate patients on proper care and maintenance of their pacemakers
• Troubleshoot and repair pacemakers as needed
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of each patient's pacemaker implantation and management
