Boston Medical Center is hiring a full-time Cardiac Device Technician who will play a critical role in the management of patients with cardiovascular implantable electronic devices. The technician will assist in daily reviews of remote pacemaker and ICD transmissions, troubleshoot monitoring systems, and maintain patient records.
Qualifications include a high school diploma, current BLS certification, and experience with cardiac devices. The salary ranges from $26.68 to $37.50 per hour, with additional benefits such as medical and dental coverage.
Under the supervision of the Director of Cardiovascular Medicine and the Medical Director, the Cardiac Device Technician will assist in the management of all patients with Cardiovascular Implantable Electronic Devices (CIEDs). Primarily the daily review and documentation of remote pacemaker, implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs), and Implantable Loop Recorder (ILR) transmissions and alerts. The Device Tech works in a patient‑centric ambulatory setting with a team approach to care. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required to maximize the clinical relationship with physicians, independent licensed providers (NP/PA), clinical administrative staff, and other device medical staff. Salary range: $26.68–$37.50 per hour. The range is based on education, experience, skills, certifications, and other factors and is subject to change based on geographic location.
