McLaren Health Care in Lansing, MI is seeking an Occupational Therapist to assess and treat patients, develop individualized plans, and help patients engage in daily activities.

You will perform evaluations, establish goals, administer tests, and coordinate with the care team while ensuring safety, quality, and documentation standards.

This per diem position offers flexible scheduling and opportunities for professional growth within a community hospital network.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited OT program.
• Current State Board of Occupational Therapy licensure.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsabilidades

• Performs patient evaluations by establishing an OT profile and collaborating with the patient to set goals.
• Establishes a plan of care and selects interventions addressing impairments per evaluation and physician orders.
• Conducts ongoing reassessment of patient response to treatment.
• Initiates and manages discharge plans from first visit through treatment.
• Supervises and delegates to staff and students per state laws and policy.
• Completes legible, accurate documentation within policy timelines.
• Communicates with patient and family to promote care using AIDET.
• Assesses and provides patient education to meet needs.
• Participates in professional development and continuing education.
• Participates in quality improvement activities.
• Ensures a safe environment per safety standards.
• Functions within state-defined scope of practice.
• Performs other related duties as required.
