Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program of occupational therapy.
• Current State Board of Occupational Therapy licensure.
• BLS certification.
• NBCOT registration (preferred).
• One year of occupational therapist experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Performs patient evaluations by establishing an occupational profile, analyzing performance and establishing goals with the client.
• Establishes an individualized plan of care and selects therapeutic interventions addressing identified impairments.
• Conducts ongoing reassessment of the patient and response to treatment.
• Initiates and manages the discharge plan beginning at the first visit and throughout treatment.
• Supervises and delegates to ancillary staff and students as allowed by policy and law.
• Completes legible, accurate documentation within policy and insurance requirements.
• Communicates with patient, family, and health care team to promote engagement using AIDET.
• Provides education to meet patient, family, and caregiver educational needs.
• Participates in professional development and quality improvement activities.
• Maintains a safe environment and adheres to safety standards.

Education
