Job summary

McLaren Health Care in Michigan is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist Assistant to work the day shift under the supervision of an occupational therapist. You will implement selected components of the therapeutic interventions and activities of daily living, monitor progress, and modify interventions to ensure patient safety and engagement.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant program.
• Current State Board licensure as an OTA.
• BLS certification is required.
• Preferred: 1 year OTA experience.

Responsibilities

• Implements the individualized plan of care as established by the occupational therapist.
• Adjusts treatment interventions based on patient feedback and data within the plan of care.
• Assists with managing the discharge plan throughout treatment.
• Supervises and delegates to ancillary staff and students per state laws and department policy.
• Completes clear, legible documentation within the department's policy timeframe.
