Job summary

Caretenders Home Health, part of LHC Group, is hiring an Occupational Therapy Assistant - Per Diem to provide in-home occupational therapy to patients, helping restore them to their fullest physical ability. This role supports families and teams across the UnitedHealth Group family while promoting compassionate care.

The position offers per diem hours with responsibilities aligned to state laws, with compensation described as annual target pay and per-visit components.

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure in state of practice.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• NBCOT certification in good standing (state requirements may vary).
• CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws and supervising OT's treatment plan.
• Instructs and aids patients in therapy within scope and state law.
• Observe, document, and report patient responses to treatment to nurse supervisor/physician.
• Instructs patient and family in therapy areas within OTA scope.
• Function in diverse home environments respecting all patients' backgrounds.
