Job summary

IVI RMA North America in Bellevue, WA is seeking a Per Diem Surgical Center Technician to support surgical teams Tuesday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 1:30 PM. This role focuses on instrument handling, aseptic technique, and assisting the surgeon during gynecology and urology procedures.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, graduation from an accredited surgical technologist program with CST credential, current BLS, and at least two years of instrument technician experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Graduate of a nationally accredited surgical technologist program and CST credential.
• Minimum two years’ experience as a surgical instrument technician prior to Jan 1, 2015 (documentation required).
• Current BLS Certification – required.
• 2+ years’ experience as a surgical technician – preferred.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of scrub processes and instrumentation for gyn and urology procedures.
• Maintain sterility and infection control in all duties.
• Assemble supplies and equipment for procedures.
• Prepare sterile instrument table.
• Maintain aseptic techniques and monitor breaches in aseptic technique.
• Transport patients to and from the surgical suite.
• Assist the surgical team by passing instruments, sponges, and sutures.
• Gathers equipment for cleaning and sterilization.
• Orient and mentor new staff members.
• Follow Standard Precautions with PPE.
