Job summary

Optum's St. Mary's Home Health Service seeks a Per Diem Physical Therapist Assistant to perform treatment, exercise instruction, and patient education under a supervising PT. You will support patients to improve well-being per the care plan.

Qualifications

Currently licensed, registered, or certified to assist in physical therapy in the state of practice.
Current driver's license and reliable transportation.
Available to work a weekend rotation.
CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire.
Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and transfers.

Responsibilities

Follow state laws and the plan of care set by the supervising PT.
Instruct and assist patients with active and passive exercises and gait training.
Document patient responses and coordinate care with the health team.
Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy within scope.
Function effectively in any home setting and maintain patient safety.
