Job summary

St. Mary's Home Health Service is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant - Per Diem to provide in-home occupational therapy services. You will follow the plan of care under supervision, assess patient progress, and communicate changes to the supervising OT and care team.

The ideal candidate holds a current OTA licensure, possesses a valid driver's license, and has access to reliable transportation. CPR certification is preferred or obtainable within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure in state of practice.
• Current driver’s license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• Preferred CPR certification, or ability to obtain within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy to patients in their homes as prescribed by the supervising OT.
• Follow the plan of care and assist with evidence-based treatment within OT scope.
• Observe, record, and report patient responses to treatment to nurses and physicians.
• Instruct patient and family in therapy techniques within OTA scope and state laws.
• Function effectively in any home setting regardless of age, race, creed, or disability.
