Qualifications

• Understanding of basic medical terminology.
• Must be able to read, write and speak effectively in English.
• Certified Nurses Assistant (CNA) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or enrolled in accredited nursing program with completion of at least 1 clinical semester.
• Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively in a therapeutic way.
• Demonstrated patient care experience, preferably in an acute care setting.
• Current BLS certification upon hire (issued by the AHA).

Responsibilities

• Take and record vital signs.
• Assist patients with hygiene and elimination.
• Maintain a clean and safe unit environment.
• Assist with stocking unit supplies and operate hospital equipment as directed.
