Job summary

UCI Health in California is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support professional nursing staff by taking vital signs, assisting with patient hygiene and elimination, and maintaining a clean, safe unit. You will stock supplies, operate hospital equipment as directed, and perform clerical tasks as needed.

Qualified candidates will have basic medical terminology knowledge, English proficiency, and current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Understanding of basic medical terminology.
• Ability to work variable shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Proficient English reading, writing and speaking.
• CNA certification or LVN license or enrollment in accredited nursing program with 1 clinical semester.

Responsibilities

• Take and record vital signs.
• Assist patients with hygiene and elimination.
• Maintain a clean and safe unit environment.
• Stock unit supplies and restock as needed.
