Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support patient care, including taking vital signs, assisting with hygiene, and ensuring a clean, safe unit. You will work alongside registered nurses and technicians, contributing to efficient patient flow and high-quality care.

The role requires English proficiency, basic medical terminology knowledge, and a CNA/LVN or related nursing program enrollment with clinical experience. You may be assigned to either Orange or Irvine campuses based on needs.

Qualifications

• Understanding of basic medical terminology required.
• Must read, write and speak English effectively.
• Demonstrates ability to communicate therapeutically with patients.

Responsibilities

• Assist professional nursing staff in patient care; take and record vital signs; help with hygiene and elimination; maintain a clean and safe unit environment.
• Stock unit supplies, operate hospital equipment as directed, perform routine clerical tasks, and assist with related duties as assigned.
