Job summary

BayMark Health Services, Inc. is seeking a Per Diem Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for the Visalia/Porterville, CA area to support methadone and buprenorphine treatment in an outpatient setting.

The ideal candidate is licensed in California as an NP or PA with 1–2 years of addiction medicine/MAT experience. Responsibilities include admissions, histories and exams, EMR documentation, prescribing buprenorphine, and supervising dispensing in the Medical Director's absence.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed in California (CA) for NP or PA.
• 1–2 years of addiction medicine/MAT experience preferred.
• Satisfactory drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist in admitting patients for Methadone and Buprenorphine treatment.
• Obtain history and perform physical examinations.
• Document in EMR and write buprenorphine prescriptions or methadone orders.
• Authorize and supervise dispensing of daily narcotic replacement therapy.
• Monitor patient dosages in coordination with medical staff and leadership.
• Other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Primary Job Function:

• Assist in admitting patients for Methadone and Buprenorphine Treatment.
• To obtain a history and physical exam.
• Documentation into the EMR, entering orders for methadone dosing in the EMR or writing a buprenorphine prescription
• To authorize and supervise dispensing of daily narcotic replacement therapy and other medication by medical staff in the Medical Director's absence.
• Consistently monitoring patient dosages in conjunction with the Program Physician/Medical Director, Treatment Center Director, Counselors and Dosing Nurses.
• Other related duties as determined by supervisor

Salary Range:

Salary ranges from $65.35 to $70.00 an hour.

The salary of the candidate(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, experience, education, specialty and training.
