Job summary

Atlantic Health Hackettstown Medical Center is seeking a Mobility Technician per diem to support mobility initiatives across inpatient units. You will assist patients with ambulation, transfers, and repositioning, using safe handling and equipment, aligning with rehabilitation and nursing plans, and documenting progress in the EMR.

The role requires a High School Diploma/GED and offers flexible weekend and holiday hours, with late afternoons/early evenings as needed, at Hackettstown and Newton

Qualifications

• Required: High School Diploma/GED.
• Preferred: BLS Certification.
• Willing to train for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with ambulation, transfers, repositioning, and mobility activities using proper body mechanics and safe patient handling techniques.
• Support individualized mobility plans established by the rehabilitation and nursing teams.
• Collaborate with therapists and nurses to promote mobility goals.
• Document mobility interventions and progress in the EMR.
• Maintain mobility equipment and assist with safety and falls-prevention initiatives.
