Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Mobility Technician to support rehabilitation teams in an acute care hospital. You will collaborate with physical therapy and nursing staff to safely mobilize patients and promote independence at discharge.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, strong communication, and the ability to document findings in EPIC. CPR/BLS and healthcare knowledge are essential, with duties spanning transfers, ambulation, and mobility education for families.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and EPIC.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physical therapy, nursing and rehab to meet patient mobility needs.
• Provide patient care focusing on mobility, safety and education for patients of the assigned service.
• Monitor vital signs and utilize CPR/BLS when required; document findings in patient records.
• Develop rapport with patients and families to support discharge planning.
• Assist with transfers, ambulation, and mobility exercises; ensure safe body mechanics.
