Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Mobility Technician to support patient mobility under RN supervision. You will assist with transfers, ambulation, and mobility education for patients and families to facilitate safe discharge to home.

You will monitor vital signs, document findings, and maintain a safe care environment while collaborating with nursing and rehabilitation teams. AHA BLS is preferred; a high school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Basic math, medical terminology and literacy skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office, Google Suite and EPIC.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient mobility under supervision of RN and rehab professionals.
• Independently assist in patient mobilization, transfers and education of families.
• Document vital signs and notify RN of abnormal results.
• Maintain safe environment and follow OSHA standards.
• Complete associated documentation and communicate with care team.
