Job summary

Atlantic Health System in Morristown, NJ seeks a Mobility Technician for the Cardiac Unit to assist with early patient mobilization, support fall prevention, and coordinate mobility plans with the RN. This role focuses on improving patient outcomes through mobility interventions and teamwork in a fast-paced inpatient setting.

Qualifications

• Assists patients with activities of daily living and mobility as directed.
• Ensures patient safety and fall precautions during mobility.
• Documents care and communicates changes to the care team.

Responsibilities

• Assists patient with activities of daily living and ambulation.
• Maintains isolation precautions and hand hygiene.
• Documents patient interactions and reports by end of shift.
• Determines priorities of care and collaborates with rehab coordinator/manager.
• Provides safety and comfort measures and ensures equipment is ready.
• Maintains clean environment and supports department duties.
• Communicates with care team and responds to patient needs.
• Participates in staffing and training as needed.
• Recognizes dizziness, SOB and fatigue and reports changes to nursing staff.
