The MA will assist during visits, coordinate tests, verify insurance, and ensure PHI is protected, contributing to efficient, high-quality care across offices in Needham and nearby communities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1 year MA experience or demonstrated MA competencies within one year of hire.
• Basic computer skills to navigate web-based applications.
• Certification as Medical Assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate patient flow during visits and inform patients and providers of delays.
• Assist with vitals, phlebotomy, immunizations, and point-of-care testing as supervised.
• Document visit details accurately for billing and coding in the EHR.
• Schedule and coordinate diagnostic tests and labs; verify insurance and authorizations.
• Maintain safety and PHI protection per HIPAA and practice policies.
