Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a clinical support team member to enhance patient flow and care delivery. You will warmly greet patients, collect vitals, assist with EKGs and injections, and ensure records and supplies are ready for the provider to deliver high-quality care.

You will coordinate with physicians and nurses, document accurately, and maintain confidentiality while supporting efficient operations in a busy ambulatory setting.

Qualifications

• Written communications: ability to communicate clearly and effectively in written English with internal and external customers.
• Oral communications: ability to converse in English with medical center staff, patients and external customers.
• Knowledge: understanding of standard concepts, practices, procedures and policies.
• Team work: ability to work collaboratively in small teams to improve operations.
• Customer service: provide high level of customer service in a professional manner using active listening and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a communication resource; asks questions and solves problems, relays information promptly to providers.
• Greets patients and escorts to exam rooms; ensures availability of records, x-rays and lab slips.
• Obtains vitals; performs EKGs, injections, phlebotomy and assists providers; supports screening and specimen collection.
• Provides patients with instructions for tests and procedures.
• Schedules follow-up tests and appointments; arranges transport; distributes lab results to physicians.
