Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health in Plymouth, MA is seeking a per diem Medical Assistant to support multiple specialty offices, including Cardiology, General Surgery, Vascular, Pulmonary, Gastroenterology, Neurology, Orthopedics, Infectious Disease, Behavioral Health and OB/GYN.

The MA II will greet patients, obtain vitals, assist with injections, phlebotomy and EKGs, maintain records in the EMR, and support office workflows to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Certificate as Medical Assistant is required.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and serves as a communication resource.
• Obtains vitals, blood pressure, pulse and temperature; performs EKGs, injections and/or phlebotomy.
• Assists providers and participates in department screenings and specimen collection.
• Maintains accurate patient records and EMR documentation.
• Implements quality control standards and helps with record requests.
