Job summary

Maine Veterans’ Homes in Augusta, ME, is seeking a dependable Per Diem Maintenance Worker to maintain a safe, comfortable environment for residents, staff and visitors.

The role covers a range of general maintenance tasks across the facility and grounds, requiring a hands-on, problem-solving approach. Flexible, as-needed schedule; may include weekends and holidays; at least two years of maintenance experience and a Maine driver’s license are expected. Tapcheck wage access is available.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of maintenance experience required.
• General knowledge of maintenance and repair functions including carpentry, masonry, electrical, plumbing, painting, groundskeeping and custodial tasks.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues and perform routine repairs safely and effectively.
• Experience in a healthcare, long-term care, or similar setting is helpful.
• Must possess and maintain a current and valid State of Maine driver’s license.
• Dependable, flexible and able to respond to maintenance needs across the facility.
