The role involves performing a variety of maintenance tasks across the building and grounds, with a flexible as-needed schedule. This is a per diem position; weekend coverage may be required occasionally, and Tapcheck is offered as a pay option.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years of maintenance experience required.
  • Experience with basic carpentry, masonry, electrical work, plumbing, painting, groundskeeping and custodial tasks.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues and perform routine repairs safely.
  • Healthcare or long-term care experience is helpful.
  • Valid State of Maine driver's license.
  • Dependable, flexible and able to respond to maintenance needs across the facility.
  • Able to work a flexible, as-needed schedule and provide coverage for vacations and days off.

Position Summary

The Per Diem Maintenance Worker performs a variety of general maintenance and repair duties throughout the facility and grounds. This position helps ensure that building systems, equipment, resident areas, common areas, and grounds are safe, functional, and well maintained.

The ideal candidate is a dependable, hands-on problem solver who takes pride in maintaining a safe and comfortable environment and can respond effectively to routine maintenance needs as well as unexpected repairs.

Schedule & Flexibility

This is a per diem position with a flexible, as-needed schedule. The primary goal of this position is to provide maintenance coverage when regular staff are on vacation, scheduled days off, or otherwise unavailable, as well as to assist with other facility needs as they arise. Weekends are generally not expected, although occasional weekend coverage may be needed based on facility needs

Requirements
  • Minimum of two years of maintenance experience required
