Job summary

Elk Valley, a part of LHC Group, within the Optum family, seeks a Per Diem Aide to help clients remain in their homes. You will provide personal care, assist with daily living activities, monitor health, and support household tasks while documenting conditions and maintaining confidentiality.

TN-specific requirements apply; preferred CPR and 6+ months home care experience. Pay ranges from $13.00 to $20.00 per hour, with benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Current driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation or access to public transit.
• TN: 75 hours of training including 16 clinical hours within first 3 months; qualified for basic services.
• Preferred: CPR certification; 6+ months home care experience; ability to work flexible hours and independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assist with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, ambulation, and medication reminder
• Support household tasks, meal preparation, and accompany clients to appointments or errands as needed
• Monitor and document client condition, vital signs, and incidents; maintain confidentiality and use EVV system
• Ensure a safe environment, operate medical equipment properly, and respond promptly to client needs
• Function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition
