Job summary

Elk Valley, part of LHC Group and a foray of the Optum family of businesses, is seeking a Per Diem Aide to provide in-home personal care and daily living assistance to clients in their own homes. You’ll monitor client conditions, assist with daily tasks, and ensure safety using an EVV system, with state-specific training requirements in Tennessee.

The role emphasizes flexibility, independent work, and potential CPR certification within 90 days of hire, with pay ranging from $13.00 to $20.00 per

Qualifications

Current driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation or access to public transit.
CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire.
6+ months of home care experience.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care and assist with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, ambulation, and medication reminder.
Support household tasks, meal preparation, and accompany clients to appointments or errands as needed.
Monitor and document client condition, vital signs, and incidents; maintain confidentiality and use EVV system.
Ensure a safe environment, operate medical equipment properly, and respond promptly to client needs.
Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client.
