Job summary

Elk Valley, part of LHC Group, is hiring a Per Diem Aide in Tennessee to provide personal care and support for individuals at home. Responsibilities include daily living assistance, meal prep, appointment accompaniment, and documenting conditions with EVV, while maintaining safety and confidentiality.

The role values independent work, flexible hours, and the ability to operate in diverse home environments, with CPR and home care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation or access to public transit.
• TN: 75 hours of training including 16 clinical hours within first 3 months; qualified for basic services.
• Preferred: CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire.
• Preferred: 6+ months of home care experience.
• Preferred: Ability to work flexible hours and independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assist with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, ambulation, and medication reminder.
• Support household tasks, meal preparation, and accompany clients to appointments or errands as needed.
• Monitor and document client condition, vital signs, and incidents; maintain confidentiality and use EVV system.
• Ensure a safe environment, operate medical equipment properly, and respond promptly to client needs.
• Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client.
