Job summary

VEG ER for Pets in Las Vegas is seeking a per diem Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our front-line emergency team, delivering gold-standard, compassionate care. You will participate in triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing, supporting doctors and caring for worried pet parents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associates degree in veterinary technology (AVMA-accredited preferred).
• 1+ year in veterinary technician role, emergency or specialty experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring and critical care nursing.
• Provide nursing care and emotional support to pets and owners.
• Administer medications, IVs, and transfusions as needed.
• Communicate with the team and help shape care plans.
• Perform CPR and assist with advanced procedures when required.
• Assist with diagnostics, imaging, sample collection and procedures.
• Support anesthesia for fragile patients and use advanced techniques when needed.
