Job summary

VEG in Henderson, NV is seeking a per diem Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our front-line emergency team. You will work with doctors and staff delivering gold-standard, emotionally intelligent care across triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in veterinary technology from an AVMA-accredited program preferred.
• CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT credential required in the state of practice.
• 1+ year of experience in veterinary technician role, emergency or specialty preferred.
• Strong communication and composure under pressure.
• Ability to lift up to 25 kg; stand long hours; work in a noisy, odorful environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and emotional support from triage to discharge.
• Deliver treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing.
• Assist with IVs, CRIs, transfusions, and other procedures.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to maintain care flow.
• Perform CPR and use advanced techniques as trained.
• Utilize diagnostics, imaging, sample collection, and tube placements.
• Support intense cases in a fast-paced emergency setting.
