Job summary

Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) is seeking a per diem Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician for Seattle, WA. As part of a fast-paced ER team, you’ll support doctors across triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing, delivering compassionate care to pets and their families.

Requirements include a high school diploma, AVMA-accredited veterinary tech degree preferred, and state-credentialed CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; AVMA-accredited degree strongly preferred.
• Credentialed veterinary technician (CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT) in the practice state is required.
• 1+ year of experience as a veterinary technician; emergency or specialty medicine preferred.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with EMR/practice software.
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating or as-needed basis.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and emotional support in the most critical moments.
• Assist with triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing.
• Administer medications, IVs, CRIs, and transfusions as needed.
• Communicate effectively with team to maintain care flow and patient safety.
• Support doctors and clinicians during procedures and post-care.
