Veterinary Emergency Group is seeking an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician (Relief) in Lynnwood, WA. This per diem role supports front-line emergency care, including triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, and critical care nursing.

RESPONSIBILITIES include assisting doctors, monitoring patients, and providing compassionate support to pet parents during stressful emergencies. The ideal candidate is CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT with 1+ year of emergency experience, AVMA-accredited education,

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or higher in veterinary technology from an AVMA-accredited program strongly preferred
• Credentialed as a veterinary technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT) in the state of practice is required; VTS in ECC, internal medicine or anesthesia/analgesia a plus
• 1+ years of experience as a veterinary technician; emergency or specialty medicine preferred
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with practice management software/EMR
• Excellent communication and ability to stay calm under pressure
• Fine motor skills for handling patients and equipment
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 kg (up to 40 kg with assistance)
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays; fast-paced team environment

• Triage and provide nursing care; assist with treatments, diagnostics, and anesthesia
• Deliver compassionate, emotionally intelligent care to patients and pet parents
• Assist with IVs, blood products, monitoring, and routine emergency procedures
• Collaborate with doctors and team to develop care plans and maintain flow
• Perform CPR when needed and participate in recovery and discharge processes
• Handle diagnostics, imaging, sample collection, and tube placement
• Maintain patient comfort and safety in a fast-paced ER setting
