Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) is seeking a per diem Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our front-line emergency team. You will triage, treat, and monitor a wide range of emergencies while collaborating with our doctors and staff to deliver gold-standard, compassionate care for pets and their families.

Ideal candidates hold a CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT credential in the practice state, have 1+ year of emergency experience, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in veterinary technology preferred.
• Credentialed as a veterinary technician in the practice state; VTS is a bonus.
• 1+ year of experience in veterinary technical roles; emergency experience preferred.
• Strong communication and ability to work under pressure in a fast paceER setting.
• Comfort with IT systems and EMR software; ability to lift up to 25 kg.

Responsabilités

• Treat every patient and person with care; support pets and families through care.
• Deliver nursing care, treatments, and emotional support during emergencies.
• Manage medications, monitoring, IVs/CRIs, and transfusions as needed.
• Communicate with the team to shape care plans and maintain flow.
• Perform CPR and respond to emergencies; participate in RECOVER training.
• Handle diagnostics, imaging, sample collection, and tube placement.
• Assist with anesthesia, including fragile patients, per protocol.
• Utilize advanced techniques such as central lines, endoscopy, and ultrasounds.
