Job summary

Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) is seeking a per diem Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our Denver ER team. You’ll be on the front lines of emergency care, triage, treatments, and critical nursing alongside our doctors and staff to deliver gold-standard care for pets and their families.

You’ll handle IVs, anesthesia, monitoring, diagnostics, and sample collection, while maintaining compassionate communication with clients in stressful moments.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a veterinary technician role, with emergency or specialty medicine preferred
• Credentialed veterinary technician (CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT) in the applicable state
• Basic computer skills and EMR familiarity (practice management software)

Responsibilities

• Triage and treat patients across a range of emergencies
• Provide nursing care, treatments, and emotional support to patients and clients
• Assist with anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing
• Support diagnostic imaging, dentistry, IVs, blood products, and other procedures
• Collaborate with doctors and team to maintain care flow and plans
• Perform CPR as trained and required
• Use central lines, endoscopy, ultrasounds as needed
• Adapt to a fast-paced, high-stakes ER environment
