Job summary

VEG ER for Pets is seeking a per diem Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our fast-paced ER team in Minnesota. You will handle emergencies from triage to discharge, providing gold-standard, empathetic care alongside doctors and a dedicated team.

The role demands CVT/RVT/LVT credentials, 1+ year experience, and strong communication. Nights, weekends, and holidays may be required; competitive pay and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• CVT/RVT/LVT credential in the state of practice.
• 1+ year experience as a veterinary technician; emergency care preferred.
• AVMA-accredited program preferred for degree.
• Excellent communication and composure under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia and critical nursing care.
• Deliver nursing care and emotional support through emergencies.
• Assist with procedures, monitoring, and patient safety.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to maintain care flow.
• Perform CPR and manage monitoring equipment as needed.
• Utilize imaging, sample collection, and central lines when required.
• Support patients and owners with empathetic communication.
• Maintain clean, organized work environment in a fast-paced ER.
