Job summary

AVIR at Alice in Alice, TX is seeking a Per Diem Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join the in-house rehabilitation team. You will provide skilled OT interventions under the supervision of a licensed OT, implement treatment plans, and help residents improve functional independence.

Qualifications

• Current Texas COTA license in good standing.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Experience in skilled nursing or subacute rehab preferred.
• New graduates encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled OT interventions under the supervision of a licensed OT.
• Implement individualized treatment plans.
• Assist residents with activities to improve ADLs and mobility.
• Document sessions and communicate progress to the supervising OT.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team (OTs, PTs, SLPs, nursing).
• Maintain compliance with facility, state, and federal regulations.
