Job summary

AVIR at Post seeks a compassionate Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) for full-time and per diem roles in Post, TX. You will work within an in-house rehabilitation team to support residents’ functional goals and independence.

Join our interdisciplinary team to provide hands-on care, develop treatment plans, educate residents and caregivers, and maintain compliant documentation in a supportive practice setting.

Qualifications

• Texas Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant license is required.
• Graduate of an accredited OTA program.
• NBCOT certification or eligibility is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide OT services under supervision of a licensed OT.
• Implement individualized treatment plans.
• Assist residents with ADLs, therapeutic exercises and mobility.
• Monitor progress and report changes to supervising OT.
• Educate residents and caregivers on techniques and safety.
• Complete accurate clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with OTs, PTs, SLPs, nurses and the team.
• Participate in care planning and help residents achieve goals.
• Maintain compliance with facility, state and federal regulations.
