Job summary

AVIR at Alice is seeking a compassionate Per Diem Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our in-house rehabilitation team. You will collaborate with residents, families, nursing staff and other professionals to help residents gain independence and improve quality of life.

The role focuses on evaluating residents, developing therapy plans, implementing interventions, and documenting progress while ensuring compliance with all regulations.

Qualifications

• Texas OT license in good standing.
• Graduate of an accredited OT program.
• New graduates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans.
• Provide skilled occupational therapy services based on residents' needs and established care plans.
• Implement therapeutic interventions to improve strength, coordination, mobility, ADLs, and functional independence.
• Monitor and document residents' progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.
• Collaborate with PTs, PTAs, COTAs, SLPs, nursing staff, physicians, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
• Educate residents and caregivers on therapeutic techniques, safety, and home exercise programs.
• Complete all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Maintain compliance with facility, state, and federal regulations.
