Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• CNA Illinois certification required.
• Phlebotomy certification upon hire is preferred.
• EKG certification upon hire is preferred.
• BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months of acute care hospital or physician’s office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Patient Care Assistant assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care, and maintains a safe environment under RN direction.
