Job summary

Southcoast Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for per diem day shifts in the Dartmouth, MA area. The role involves assisting clinicians, updating patient records in the EMR, and ensuring smooth clinic flow. Travel between sites may be required.

Responsibilities include patient care under supervision, specimen handling, and clear communication with patients regarding procedures and follow-up care. COVID-19 and influenza vaccination as required by policy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with specialized courses and training.
• National third-party certification within thirteen (13) months of hire as a non-certified Medical Assistant.
• Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Program, or equivalent medical office practice experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical assisting duties under supervision within the assigned medical office(s).
• Assist providers with patient care and procedures.
• Facilitate efficient flow of patients through the clinic or medical office.
• Communicate test results, schedules, and follow-up instructions to patients as directed.
