Job summary

Southcoast Health is seeking a talented Certified Medical Assistant for a per diem role in Primary Care, Fairhaven, MA. Under supervision, you will support a team to deliver high-quality patient care and ensure smooth clinic operations.

Responsibilities include assisting providers, managing patient flow, and maintaining confidentiality. Medical interpretation may be required, and prior EMR experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with medical office training.
• Certification within 13 months of hire (AMCA/AAMA/AMT/NCMA).
• Completed Medical Assistant program or equivalent.
• BLS certification required.
• EMR experience preferred.
• 1 year medical assistant experience preferred.
• Fluency in another language and medical interpreting is preferred.
• Other certifications may be preferred.
• Must be fully vaccinated against influenza and COVID-19 or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with patient care and procedures.
• Facilitate efficient flow of patients through the clinic.
• Provide high-quality care and treatment for patients.
• Assist with patient communications including test results and schedules.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
