Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with specialized training.
• National certification required within 13 months of hire as a non-certified Medical Assistant.
• Completion of Medical Assistant Program or equivalent medical office experience.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience with EMR and health-related software preferred.
• 1 year medical assisting experience preferred.
• Multilingual medical interpreting preferred.
• Vaccination against influenza and COVID-19 or approved exemption with signed statement.

Responsibilities

• Perform medical assisting duties under supervision within the assigned medical office.
• Assist providers with patient care and procedures.
• Facilitate efficient patient flow through the clinic or medical office.
• Handle telephone communications with patients, test results, and schedules under supervision.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality; utilize EMR to update/access records.
