People Tech Business Systems Analyst - Workday & HR

Job summary

Amplify is seeking a detail-oriented Business Systems Analyst to optimize People Technology systems and HR processes across the organization.

In this role, you'll partner with People Technology, People Operations, Finance, and cross-functional stakeholders to enhance Workday and related HCM systems, improve operational efficiency, and deliver scalable technology solutions that support the employee experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in technology, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or related role.
• Strong understanding of HR and Payroll business processes, controls, and compliance considerations.
• Experience supporting Workday HCM, Payroll, and Recruiting modules.
• Experience utilizing data management concepts to maintain data integrity across integrated systems.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with the ability to handle sensitive/confidential data.
• Preferred: NetSuite experience or another enterprise ERP platform.
• Preferred: Workday Pro, Lean Six Sigma or PMP certifications.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Product Owner (People Tech) and People Operations stakeholders to define and prioritize the product vision for HCM functions, including Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, and Time & Attendance.
• Proactively conduct requirements walkthroughs and workshops to clarify needs with development and business teams.
• Acquire requirements for sophisticated system improvements within Workday and integrated systems and document them as user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Build business and technical workflows that outline employee lifecycle and HR compliance processes.
• Analyze People business processes and recommend system enhancements to improve efficiency and data integrity.
• Facilitate communication across departments to identify changes impacting Payroll, Benefits, and HR Reporting.
• Manage backlog details with the People Tech Product Owner, aligning user stories to business personas.
• Perform and facilitate UAT for initial implementations and Workday upgrades with test plans.
• Prioritize information for Change Control and secure release approvals.
• Leverage datasets to solve complex issues and protect sensitive employee/contractor data.
• Troubleshoot Workday configurations and related People Technology systems.
• Collaborate with Product Owners to scope strategic initiatives and assess feasibility.
• Research HRIS/HCM best practices and propose system enhancements aligned with industry standards.
