Job summary

Belk is seeking an Human Resources Lead to drive sales and craft a best-in-class associate experience in-store. You will own hiring, training, retention, and weekly scheduling to meet store objectives and deliver exceptional customer service.

You will collaborate with store leaders, manage data integrity, and support onboarding, engagement, and continuous learning. This hourly role includes monthly bonus eligibility and requires flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of Retail Leadership/HR Management experience.
• Ability to recruit, train, and engage associates to meet store objectives.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays; ability to manage weekly staffing.
• Demonstrated data-informed decision making and strong communication with teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead hiring, training, and retention activities.
• Build effective weekly schedules that align with busi ness needs and traffic.
• Guide onboarding to prepare new hires for service, selling, and operations.
• Foster store retention, engagement, and learning initiatives.
• Maintain associate data integrity across systems and files.
• Audit timecards and manage attendance daily.
• Support leadership planning with talent reporting and insights.
• Provide guidance and resolve associate concerns while maintaining confidentiality.
• Perform daily cash office functions and asset protection responsibilities.
