Job summary

Belk is seeking an Human Resources Lead in Texas to drive hiring, training, and retention while delivering an outstanding associate experience. This hourly role guides weekly scheduling, data integrity across systems, and ongoing leadership activities to support store objectives.

The position emphasizes onboarding, engagement, and collaboration with store leaders to ensure associate success and strong customer service. Eligible for a monthly bonus.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of Retail Leadership/HR Management experience.
• Strong communication and customer service orientation.
• Willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead hiring and sourcing, coordinate interviews, background checks and the hiring process.
• Conduct engaging onboarding to prepare new hires for service, selling, and operations.
• Drive retention and engagement through training, recognition, and positive team culture.
• Maintain associate data integrity across company systems and files for payroll, scheduling and reporting.
• Create effective weekly schedules aligned with talent, traffic, and business needs; review availability and time-off requests.
• Participate in leadership planning meetings and use data to highlight successes and opportunities.
