Wealthsimple is seeking a seasoned Workday Business Systems Analyst to configure, test, and optimize Workday across Payroll, Absence, Time Tracking, and Core HCM. You will partner with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into scalable system design, while safeguarding data security and driving automation.

You will influence change management, develop advanced reports, and support full lifecycle Workday initiatives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment across North America.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as a Workday Business Systems Analyst
• Workday Pro accreditations or Workday partner certifications in HCM, Payroll, Absence, Time Tracking
• Exposure to Workday Prism Analytics, Extend, or advanced reporting beyond standard report writer
• Experience applying AI tools to HRIS or People operations work, or strong interest in building that muscle
• Hands-on knowledge of Workday Payroll, Absence, Time Tracking (PATT) configuration, design, BP configurations, and Security
• Hands-on knowledge of Workday Core HCM
• Experience in fast-paced, high-growth environments
• Strong technical skills including Workday architecture, security models, and integration methodologies
• Experience with full lifecycle Workday implementations and/or significant module expansions
• Intellectually curious, asks why, stays current on Workday and adjacent HR tech
• Creative problem solving beyond standard solutions
• Treat HR data security and privacy as foundational
• Excel at building relationships with stakeholders
• Detail-oriented with strong documentation
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with flexibility
• Collaborative mindset willing to help beyond job description

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements from internal partners into scalable system design and document decisions
• Build trusted relationships with partner teams as a translator between technical configuration and business needs
• Support change management for system updates and new functionality with documentation and enablement materials
• Build and maintain advanced reports and dashboards; support mass data changes via EIB
• Configure alerts, scheduled reports, and report security to ensure correct data access
• Triage and resolve day-to-day system issues and identify root causes
• Explore AI and automation opportunities in Workday workflows and reporting
• Drive process automation with People team and partner functions
